ICT @HP-1:1 Ipad program
From Year 2 to Year 6, students and parents are involved in a 1 to 1 iPad program to enhance their learning. In Prep to year 2 students have access to a class set of iPads which can be used throughout the day but do not travel home with them. From years 3 to 6 the iPads can be used at home for homework and learning purposes directed by the teacher.
The iPads accessed by the students do not change what curriculum is being taught, however, it is a contemporary way for teachers to teach the curriculum and for students to express their learning in today's digital age
21st Century Learners & Digital Citizenship
The role of the teachers at St Joachim's school is to help students become responsible digital citizens. This is done through a variety of ways including regular lessons about digital citizenship and a well-integrated digital technologies curriculum which is taught throughout the school week.
Cyber Safety at St Joachim's
In our dynamic and connected world of communication and learning, we need to ensure that all students have the opportunity to fulfil their learning without being put at risk. One of the ways of doing this is to ensure that we foster and harness good digital citizens within our students. We do this by teaching students about cyber safety and how they can keep themselves safe online both at school and at home.
